Body wash and shower gel I would believe are the same. If she gets mad, ignore her. At least you where kind enough to get it! =]

Shower gel and body wash are both forms of liquid soap that are appropriate for cleansing the body. The primary difference between the two is texture. Shower gel has a firmer, gel-like consistency while body wash is more like liquid soap or dish soap in consistency.

So actually there isn’t any difference, the texture is a little different but not really noticeable. Im sure she will love it.
